Digital Operations Manager
I had been working with Liquid Heat as a Digital Operations Manager for 18 months. During this time, I had taken on various tasks and responsibilities, all of which contributed to significant improvements in the company's overall performance. Thanks to my efforts, we were able to position the business for long-term success.
LIQUID HEAT SHOPIFY
Liquid Heat had been struggling with their website for almost a year after working with a professional marketing company in Los Angeles that had let them down. When I realized their dilemma, I confidently offered to build the website myself.

As a result, I was invited to the Fort Lauderdale office for a week-long stint where I built a website that easily surpassed the previous company's efforts. Despite the challenging time constraints, I managed to create a new and improved website in just one full workday. The website that you see below is the result of my efforts.
Some of the graphic media on the website had already been created by the digital marketing company, which saved me some valuable time. As it happens, I had previously assisted the same marketing company with data entry of all products found on the site (including prices, images, descriptions, and SEO tags). That gave me an edge in meeting the tight deadline for the website's completion.

While the original website was built on WordPress, I recommended Shopify as an alternative, knowing that it would be easier for Liquid Heat to manage in my absence. Plus, I knew that Shopify offered a variety of other benefits, which I'll mention shortly. I discovered a third-party program that allowed me to transfer the product data from WordPress to Shopify, saving even more time and ensuring a seamless transition.
After completing the initial version of the website, I gathered feedback from the team and incorporated any changes they requested. Some of the requests were challenging to implement, as Shopify's interface is intentionally simplified. To overcome this, I contracted a .liquid developer and worked closely with them to ensure that all changes were made efficiently and effectively. I even oversaw a task that required the integration of the Google Maps API.

Thanks to my communication skills and development knowledge, we were able to make the necessary updates to the website without any issues.
Point of Sale & Operations Automation
Since I completed the website ahead of schedule, we were able to address other pressing issues while I was in the office. One of the most pressing issues I noticed was that they were managing sales manually in-store, which required updating the website's inventory every time an item was sold. I immediately recognized this as an inefficient and unsustainable business practice.
I proposed the idea of switching to an electronic POS system and worked with the team to implement it. We considered using Shopify POS, but it was beyond their budget. So, I did some research and found a third-party application called SKUiq that could sync the Shopify online store's products, prices, and inventory with a Clover POS system at a more affordable price point.
By making this switch, we not only improved the business's professional image but also automated their entire inventory process, which saved them valuable time and resources. The team was impressed with the results, and I was proud to have played a role in the transformation of their business practices.

Event Marketing
One of the events I assisted Liquid Heat with was a highly popular event where we set up a booth to promote the store. During the event, we distributed cards, made sales on the spot, and engaged with the attendees to raise awareness about the store. Our booth was one of the flashiest and caught the eye of NBA player PJ Tucker, who we worked out a media deal with for his youtube.
Despite the added pressure of being in the spotlight, we remained professional and focused on making the sale while still promoting the store. Our success at the event was a testament to my marketing skills and our team's ability to stay cool under pressure.
